Love My New Brother

Most of you know Cooper has taken some time to adjust to our new member to the family. He has slowly done things with Cohen like give him his passy, help with bottles, give kisses or just go and sit with him. There are still some jealousy issues but that is to be expected.
I was getting the boys ready for Clay to get home to take us out to eat and decided to give Cooper a chance "again" to hold Cohen. Cooper was thrilled at the idea of holding the baby. He loved on him and patted him and would not give him back. I was so happy to see Cooper loving on his brother this way, it showed me how much he is growing into a big boy! One of those really proud Mommy moments!

Play Dough

I waited and waited to try Play Dough with Cooper. I have been so ready to do arts and crafts and various things like that with him. I think we are just now getting to the age where he can sit still for a while and follow a "little" instruction! :) I explained to him before getting the play dough out that it was not Food, but of course his first impulse was to try and eat it. But, after that he really got into it and was really creative.

Losing the Baby Weight

So the hardest thing for me with having a baby is losing the weight after. I was still
trying to lose the weight after having Cooper (which I guess was technically not baby weight anymore). :) There's not much time in the day to put into exercise. So I have had to take the time I do have and make it worth while. My dear friend Kelli gave me some suggestions on DVD work outs. I have been doing those daily. Lots of work but just 20 minutes. I am actually drinking lots of water now, which most of you know is HUGE for me. So what I want to know is how do "you" lose weight? What are your secrets? HELP! :)

OH and this one is for the ladies please :).

Trip to Mobile

I took Cooper and Cohen to Mobile for about a week a couple of weeks ago. Clay doesn't have any days off so he wasn't able to make it. So lots of work for me on the road trip!! I was excited to go though because Grandma had not met Cohen yet. We of course went Banana Docks to eat with Grandma which was very quick. Out to eat is hard for us these days. We ended up going to her house another day and were able to really hang out and relax.
Mom played hard with Cooper doing bubbles and playing outside and in the pool. I know she was ready for a break when we left :). WE were also able to get together with Lena and her family at Cottage Hill Park. Mom and Kevin chased the kids and we were able to hang out a bit. We also had Aunt Joan and Uncle Larry, Aunt Sue and Uncle Gene over for dinner one night! Cooper played hard with Uncle Gene and loved on everyone!

Noccalula Falls

Clay and I took a day trip a few weeks ago with the boys to Noccalula Falls. We haven't
taken as many trips with Cohen yet as we did when we first had Cooper. There is an obvious reason why :). The waterfall was beautiful although there was not very much water coming down this time of year.

The highlight of our trip however was not the waterfall. There was a park area with beautiful deer. Cooper found them first and didn't want to leave. They came up to the fence and we were able to pet them and Cooper was able to "kiss" them.

The train ride and petting zoo were also a Hit! Some of the animals were roaming around the park and Cooper thought it was fun to chase them. It's hard to put into words how pretty the park was, hopefully some of the pictures will do it justice! I will add more pictures to our website

Blogging

I really enjoy reading people's blogs. (Especially family and friends) What a great way to keep in touch with people you may not be able to other wise. So I thought I would give it a go myself. I think it will also be a great way to document the things we do with the boys and have for them later.
Anyway, this is the first of hopefully many more blogs.
