I am reading a back About 10 Things Your Autistic Child Wishes you Knew. Very interesting stuff. I have a link with the 10 points listed out with a brief summary.
I thought this would be good for some of my friends and family that want to better understand Cohen or any kids with Autism.
I didn't know much about Autism before Cohen was diagnosed and I still have a LOT to learn. I think it's good to be informed about these things, you never know when you will come across a situation where you "wish" you had a better understanding.
I have several people that have said to me that Cohen doesn't "look" like he has Autism. Hmmm... Well, I would be more offended if I thought they were trying to offend me. Cohen is a little boy, and there is not a certain look he has to have to have struggles.
Just some thoughts!! :)
